Eye-Fi contests SD Association's Wireless LAN standard process

Last week, the SD Association (SDA) announced that the draft Wireless LAN specification has been adopted as the new standard. SDA members - and we are one - are allowed 60 days to respond to claims of intellectual property licenses patented and plan around that IP to the SDA. If the IP is important in this process is presented, and not offered for the license, the SDA should revise the specifications and begin the cycle again review. This week, the SDA is still before the deadline provided.

we expressed our patented intellectual property for the SDA, detailing some of the Eye-Fi patents essential to the design specifications of the current SDA.
That the Eye-Fi. Last week, the SD Association (SDA) announced that the draft Wireless LAN specification has been adopted as the new standard. Legality of the SD Association's standard for Wireless LAN SD card maker is challenged by the wireless SD Eye-Fi. 'Essential Eye-Fi's patented technology will be violated by anyone implementing the specification draft.'
