Olympus PEN Mini E-PM1 MICRO

Olympus PEN Mini E-PM1 MICRO

is similarly specified to contemporary Olympus PEN Mini E-PM1 MICRO models, but with an emphasis on ease of use and simplicity of design.
The compact dimensions are because the reflex mirror used in a DSLR camera is absent, enabling the lenses to be placed much closer to the image sensor.
The design also enables a much larger image sensor to be used than would typically be found in compact cameras.

The overall design of this camera differs to other cameras in the since manual exposure overrides are largely tucked away into the  providing a user experience particularly suited to pointing and shooting.

A new image processing engine, introduced in all three recently released Olympus PEN cameras, promises to keep noise levels low, even at high sensitivity settings, as well as aiding processing speed and video quality.

The Micro Four-Thirds system has one of the largest range of compatible lenses on offer of any compact system camera.

A 3-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 460,000 dots provides the view for composing images and videos. The screen has an aspect ratio of 16:9, which is great for recording wide-screen videos, but not so great for taking images in the standard 4:3 aspect ratio. A highly reflective acrylic cover protects the screen.
As fashion dictates, the PEN Mini is offered in several colors, including classic black or silver; stylish white or brown; or funky purple or rose.

Despite physical changes the PEN Mini shares a similar spec to the E-PL3, with high speed shooting of up to 5.5 fps; ultra fast Autofocus with 35 AF points and AF illuminator and Full HD video. Albeit similarly styled to the E-PL3, the smaller Mini loses the tilting screen, a few buttons and the mode dial from the top plate – shooting modes are menu driven now.

The Olympus PEN Mini E-PM1 MICRO is the smallest Olympus PEN released and introduces a whole new range PENs, assuming Olympus go on to release the E-PM2 and E-PM3 in coming years. The Olympus PEN Mini E-PM1, with a name like "Mini" is the smallest Olympus PEN yet and is rather stylish and compact as you would expect. The PEN cameras have a refreshed menu system with easier to navigate controls, with a picture of the camera in the background. There is built in help and a built in camera manual.

(70 options, each with sub options, over 10 color coded screens)ISO Noise performance The E-PM1 produces low through to ISO800, even when the noise filter  colored noise becomes apparent, and it's at this point that I'd want to switch the noise filter to standard. Lenses available: The E-PM1 comes with a collapsible zoom kit lens.

the Olympus PEN Mini E-PM1 MICRO Seiko 14-42mm II R - equivalent this is an updated version of the 14-42mm Mk II lens and is updated cosmetically only so that the style matches the new range of Olympus PEN cameras. The Olympus PEN Mini E-PM1 features extremely fast focusing originally one of the downsides of choosing the Olympus PEN camera over the Panasonic Lummox G cameras digital
now you can have you cake and eat it, with fast focusing, and built in image stabilization. They've also produced a stylish camera with fast continuous shooting at 5.5 fps. Image quality of the Olympus PEN Mini E-PM1 is excellent with excellent detail from the 12 megapixel sensor, with low noise and great color.
